News Release: Caddis hires veteran HRE leader W. Todd Jensen as Executive Vice President, Investments

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In his new position, Mr. Jensen will help Caddis grow its medical office building portfolio and capital relationships throughout the country

DALLAS, June 23, 2021 – Caddis® has hired W. Todd Jensen, a veteran healthcare real estate (HRE) professional to serve in the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Investments.

“We created this new position because we wanted to add more senior talent to help us grow our portfolio and expand our capital relationships,” says Lance M. Hardenburg, Managing Partner and CEO of the Dallas-based national healthcare real estate firm.

He adds, “In his new capacity, Todd will direct the acquisitions team while also providing strategic leadership to business development, capital relationships and development operations. We are very pleased to have someone with Todd’s extensive HRE industry experience join the Caddis team.”
Mr. Jensen has more than 25 years of experience with healthcare real estate, in both private and public companies, and he has led the execution of more than 300 transactions totaling more than $5 billion. Before assuming his current role, he was Principal of Jensen Property Group, a real estate development and investment firm focused on healthcare, mixed-use and multifamily properties. Prior to that, Mr. Jensen provided executive leadership to Healthcare Trust Inc. and its predecessor companies, where he was instrumental in helping raise and invest nearly $5 billion in healthcare-related properties. During his tenure there, he served progressively as Chief Investment Officer, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Previously, he spent more than 15 years with a series of real estate development firms where he was responsible for nearly $500 million of healthcare projects. His experience includes time with DASCO Companies, as Senior Vice President; Lauth Property Group, as Healthcare Partner, where he started and led the company’s healthcare division; and as a Partner and Regional Vice President with Hammes Company, where he founded and led the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regional offices and helped the company achieve its initial top developer rankings in Modern Healthcare magazine.
“I have been a friend of the Caddis team for many years and an investor in several Caddis developments, so it seemed like a good fit for me to join the firm,” says Mr. Jensen. “Caddis is currently primarily focused on adding to our medical office building portfolio through both acquisitions and development in regions where we have a presence. So we will continue to focus on Texas, the south, southwest, Washington, D.C., and Florida, but we won’t be limited just to those geographic areas.”

Mr. Jensen adds, “I plan to approach my new position the way I usually approach roles I have had: with energy, enthusiasm and an interest in forging and expanding relationships and growing our business and portfolio.”
