April 29th, 2021

The City of Mentor is pleased to announce that the Cleveland Clinic is moving forward with its planned hospital construction beginning this calendar year. It is expected that design plans for this facility will be submitted mid-year with construction to begin by year’s end. The Clinic hopes to begin serving patients by early 2023.

“We are very pleased with the Cleveland Clinic’s investment and confidence in our community. The City of Mentor currently enjoys exceptional healthcare services. The Cleveland Clinic’s new facility will add to that strength and better position Mentor as a regional leader and destination for world class care,” says Kenneth J. Filipiak, Mentor City Manager.

City Council President, Bruce R. Landeg, stated, “The Cleveland Clinic has recognized Mentor as an ideal location to serve the needs of Lake County and points east. Their commitment validates the strength of our local economy and our optimism for the future.”

The hospital will sit on 47-acres located within the Norton Parkway Business Corridor, which has in recent years become one of Mentor’s prime locations for office and health-related development.
