The Colliers Indianapolis REMS (Real Estate Management Services) division has been awarded contracts for two new significant portfolios. This brings the group’s total square foot managed up to 43,000,000 million square feet – maintaining Colliers as the largest 3rd party property management firm in Indiana.
Browning Investments portfolio. Colliers has assumed property maintenance oversight of the Browning Investments Indianapolis real estate portfolio, totaling 1,000,000 million square feet. The portfolio’s multi-tenant properties include: the Indiana Spine Group medical-office building at 13225 North Meridian Street in Carmel; Browning’s headquarters building at 6100 West 96th Street in the Northwest Technology Center, Indianapolis; and the Union Station building at 300 South Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis. The five Maintenance Engineers joining Colliers toward these assignment are: Jayson Madison, Eric Brinkerhoff, Lee Hawkins, Darack Digbie, and Joshua Quade.
Stutz Building. Additionally, Colliers has assumed full property and accounting management of the iconic Stutz Building, a 600,000 square-foot, 5-story building spanning an entire block at 10th Street and Capitol Avenue in downtown Indianapolis. Built in 1912, the building has an interesting history – initially an automobile factory for the Stutz Motor Company. Over the years it had a variety of owners, including Eli Lilly & Co. Later, artist shops and boutique businesses moved in – more than 200 specialty businesses now occupy the building.
A recent ownership change initiated the property management shift. SomeraRoad, a New York and Nashville-based company, has acquired majority ownership interest. Previous owner, Turner Woodard, retains minority ownership along with his son, Turner John.
Colliers has hired a 6-person management for the Stutz site: Nicole Langdon – Senior Property Manager, Kailey Evans – Assistant Property Manager, Jeff LaFollette – Lead Engineer, and Maintenance Technicians – Jeff Christianson, James Surface, and Chad Smith.
