Cushman & Wakefield to Oversee Leasing at Two Medical Offices Buildings on Behalf of Caddis Healthcare Real Estate

Buildings in Buckhead and Marietta Total 97,645 Square Feet

ATLANTA, October 26, 2020 – Cushman & Wakefield has been retained to oversee leasing two medical office buildings totaling 97,645 square feet on behalf of Caddis® Healthcare Real Estate. George Olmstead and Brandon Wallace of Cushman & Wakefield will lease the buildings. Caddis is a top ten national healthcare real estate development, management, and investment firm based in Dallas with regional offices across the US, including Atlanta. Caddis successfully owns or manages over 70+ medical properties totaling over 4M+ square feet across 14 states which are valued over $1B.

“Caddis launched our investment in the Atlanta market back in 2014 with the acquisition of a medical office building in College Park,” said Caddis’s CEO and Managing Partner, Lance M. Hardenburg. “Since then, we have added seven healthcare properties in the metro Atlanta area including the development of two Heartis® senior living facilities completed in 2018. We have plans to continue investing in Atlanta as a high growth market.”

In Buckhead, Olmstead will lease a 76,382-square-foot building located at 2045 Peachtree Road, which recently underwent a major renovation including enhanced common areas, new HVAC equipment, a new roof and a new covered parking garage which is currently under development and due to deliver by the summer of 2021. The property’s new landscaped plaza will be shared with Caddis’ neighboring upscale 213-unit senior living facility, Heartis Buckhead, which is currently under construction and slated for completion in 2022.

“With the recent renovations to 2045 Peachtree and an under construction Class A senior living facility on the same site, now is an ideal time for prospective tenants to consider this solid, renovated medical office building in a premier location for their 2021/2022 space needs,” Olmstead said.

In Marietta, Wallace will lease a 21,263-square-foot building located at 620 Cherokee Street, a new building which was delivered in 2019. The property features a convenient location near Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and its new Emergency Department and includes surface and covered parking.

“620 Cherokee sets the new standard for medical space with its patient and tenant-centric design,” Wallace said. “Only one shell space remains in this building, and we anticipate this space will lease quickly.”
