According to Dr. Dan Gzesh, Chief of Neurology at Abington Hospital–Jefferson Health, the new building at 1151 Old York Road represents more than an upgrade in facilities. It demonstrates a continued and deep commitment to the community and to all aspects of neurologic care including advancing treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson Disease, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, and pain syndromes. Dr. David Weisman, a physician partner and director of the ANA Research Center, adds that the new building will headquarter and enhance ongoing clinical research in neurological diseases to develop novel and innovative treatments.
Mediplex Abington is the second property developed by Mediplex Property Group in Abington Township in recent years. Its previous project, the DaVita Willow Grove Dialysis clinic, across from the Willow Grove Mall, earned the Developer of the Year award by the Abington Township Economic Development Committee.
