FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New 19-story, 278,000-square-foot, luxury senior living community – Heartis Buckhead – in the Buckhead area of Atlanta ‘bottoms out’

The 19-story Heartis® Buckhead luxury senior living high-rise will feature 213 spacious apartments and a wide variety of amenities. Despite an increase in COVID-19 cases in the Atlanta area and a long, complex excavation process, the project is on schedule.

DALLAS and ATLANTA, Aug. 26, 2020 – Dallas-based Caddis®, a top national healthcare real estate development and investment firm, announces the “bottoming out” of Heartis® Buckhead, a 19-story, 278,000-square-foot, luxury senior living high-rise in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.

Extensive excavation and shoring activities were completed last week on the below-grade portion of the project’s parking deck amid an increase of COVID-19 cases in the Atlanta area.

“It’s typical to celebrate topping out high-rise buildings, but our project had a long and complex excavation that was worthy of noting,” says Project Manager Pax Herrin of the Atlanta office of Brasfield & Gorrie, the general contractor responsible for overseeing project construction. “We want to recognize our team for their extraordinary performance during a unique and extremely stressful situation. Our team has preserved project continuity and risen to the occasion.”

“This is a momentous achievement for our entire team,” says Kyle A. Miller, Director of Development at Caddis, the developer of the project. “At a time when so much of the news is focused on the negative, it is more important than ever to highlight the good that is happening. We are thrilled to have provided additional livelihood for members of the Atlanta community, and believe we are extremely fortunate to have kept our project open and safe. Our deep gratitude goes to Brasfield & Gorrie for providing solid leadership, continually assessing risk, and adjusting operations as needed to continue operating smoothly. From the bottom we can only go up!”

Heartis Buckhead, 2051 Peachtree Road N.E., is Caddis’ first senior living high-rise. It will feature 213 spacious apartments and a wide variety of amenities. In addition, an adjacent 10-story medical office building is being renovated.
