WakeMed and partners testing drone delivery of supplies
Will the design of future medical office buildings (MOBs) need to include landing pads for drones? Maybe, if pilot programs like the one being tested in Raleigh, N.C., catch on.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Division of Aviation has teamed up with WakeMed Health & Hospitals and Switzerland-based drone-maker Matternet to conduct the first round of test flights for drones to carry simulated medical packages.
