SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – The Boca Raton, Fla.-based real estate unit of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors has acquired the two-story, 53,000 square foot Barrington Orthopedic Specialists building in Schaumburg for $17.75 million, or about $335 per square foot (PSF). The 100 percent occupied, single-tenant, off-campus MOB at 929 W. Higgins Road opened in 2011. It was acquired from Inland Private Capital Corporation, which bought it from the owner-occupier for about $14.2 million in June 2014 as part of a three-property sale-leaseback deal. Kayne Anderson secured a $23.3 million loan on the property from Lake Forest Bank & Trust.
