The national healthcare real estate firm, known for its Texas senior residences, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the community in Orland Park near Chicago

ORLAND PARK, Ill., and DALLAS, May 2, 2018 – Renowned for its many Heartis® senior living communities in Texas, Caddis™ recently opened its second assisted living and memory care senior residence in Illinois – in Orland Park, about 26 miles southwest of Chicago.

Officials at the national healthcare real estate firm, which is headquartered Dallas,  said the 94-unit, 89,950 square residence at 159th St. and Harlem Ave. is part of the firm’s continuing nationwide expansion. Caddis opened its first Illinois senior community in Peoria in the fall of 2016 and is developing two Heartis residences in Wisconsin. The firm also began expanding in the Southeast in the last two years.

Caddis held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new senior residence April 12, which was attended by about 400 people. This included representatives from the Orland Park and Tinley Park Chambers of Commerce; Jud Jacobs, Caddis Executive Vice President Development & Partner; Katie Kleinsmith, Caddis Senior Vice President of Senior Living; Shawn Janus, Caddis Director Development; Eric Reiter, Caddis Senior Development Manager; Maria Oliva, Pathway to Living Chief Operating Officer; Nicole Barteki, Pathway to Living Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing; and Helen Brown, A Knew Day Memory Support Director.

Speakers at the event included Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau; Jud Jacobs of Caddis; Maria Oliva from Pathway to Living; and KC Strough, Executive Director of Heartis Village Orland Park.

Both the Orland Park and Peoria communities are owned by a Caddis affiliate and are managed by Pathway to Living, a nationally recognized operator of senior living communities in the Chicago area and Wisconsin.
