The senior housing arm of Dallas-based Caddis recently started its 17th facility

The most recent Heartis brand senior housing community offered to the market broke ground in January 2018 in Brookfield, Wis., outside of Milwaukee. The future 104-unit Heartis Village Brookfield is scheduled for an opening in July 2019.
It all started rather quietly. In 2012, well-known Dallas-based healthcare real estate (HRE) firm Caddis, which had focused mostly on medical office building (MOB) development, ownership and management since its founding in 2008, decided to enter a new, somewhat-related product type: senior housing healthcare communities.
