Providence Saint John’s Chief Executive, Marcel Loh said, “Providing access to a wide range of excellent neurologic care is important to us. The residents of Santa MonicaLos Angeles and beyond now have access to some of the top specialists in the field, all under the same roof. We make every effort to simplify the health care experience, especially when people aren’t feeling well.”

According to the City of Santa Monica’s architectural description, the three-story building, formerly called the Santa Monica Doctors Building, is a Streamline Moderne medical office building designed in 1946 and constructed during the early 1950s. The building has a distinctive, curved corner entrance located at the southeast corner at the intersection of 22nd Street and Arizona Avenue. The medical office building is the kind of building type that was developed in the early twentieth century as the population in Los Angeles and Santa Monica grew and the medical profession became more specialized.

Many Santa Monica residents have watched the 2125 Arizona Ave. building’s transformation over the years from its original construction between 1950 and 1952 as a medical office building for doctors, dentists and a pharmacy to its latest incarnation.

Providence Saint John’s Health Center is planning an official inaugural open house event along with a blessing for physicians and caregivers in early May.

The clinic is open now and patients can continue to contact Pacific Neuroscience Institute at 310-582-7450 or pacificneuro.org.
