Columbus, Ohio (August 22, 2017) – Hammes, the nation’s leading developer for healthcare facilities, announced it was selected as the project manager, to lead the construction of OhioHealth’s new 270,000 square-foot administrative office project.
The facility will be home for approximately 1,600 non-clinical OhioHealth associates on 13 acres in the southeast corner of the intersection of Olentangy River Rd. and SR315, across the street from OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. The new campus is expected to open in 2019.
Hammes will serve as the owner’s representative for the construction of the new facility, and will work collaboratively with OhioHealth’s staff and design and construction team.
“We are pleased to be a long-term partner with OhioHealth as they execute their growth strategy and increase access to quality care for the Columbus community,” said Chris Kay, Hammes president and chief operating officer.
OhioHealth’s clinical services have grown over the years requiring expansions at several medical facilities, and Hammes has worked with OhioHealth on a number of expansion projects. For example, Riverside Methodist Hospital, part of OhioHealth, selected Hammes Company to provide project management for a bed tower addition on its existing 43-acre campus.
