Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ magazine announces the fifth annual awards program recognizing excellence in healthcare real estate. Entries are due Friday, Sept. 29, 2017.
MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 2, 2017 – Entries are now open for the 2017 HREI Insights Awards™, the only comprehensive national awards program totally dedicated to recognizing excellence in the areas of healthcare real estate development and executive leadership. The entry deadline is Sept. 29.
The awards are presented by Healthcare Real Estate Insights™, the first and only national magazine entirely devoted to covering healthcare real estate (HRE) development, financing and investment.
“Now in its fifth year, the HREI Insights Awards program has been very well received and popular with healthcare real estate executives” says HREI™ Publisher Murray W. Wolf. “Every year, we enjoy honoring the most innovative, strategic and successful healthcare developments in the industry, as well as the remarkable accomplishments of industry leaders.”

Finalists will be notified by HREI staff in mid to late October. The awards will be presented during a live luncheon presentation Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at the RealShare HRE Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., one of the year’s largest gatherings of HRE professionals and healthcare executives. Reduced entry fee for 2017
New this year is a reduced entry fee for the HREI Insights Awards. The fee is now only $50 per entry with no limit on the number of entries submitted. Entries must be submitted online at HREI Insights Awards by the deadline of Friday, Sept. 29, 2017.
The HREI Insights Awards will be awarded in nine categories:
■ Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities – Best New Ground-Up Development (four awards in four different size ranges – less than 25,000 square feet, 25,000-49,999 square feet, 50,000-99,999 square feet, and 100,000 square feet or more)
■ Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities – Best Renovated or Repurposed Building (one award)
■ Hospitals and Other Inpatient Facilities – Best New Ground-Up Development (one award)
■ Post-Acute and Senior Living Facilities – Best New Ground-Up Development (one award)
■ Healthcare Executive of the Year (one award)
■ Lifetime Achievement Award/Healthcare Real Estate Hall of Fame (one award)
Any project completed or scheduled to be completed by Dec. 31, 2017 is eligible. Preference will be given to projects completed in 2017, but exceptional projects from previous years also will be considered. Healthcare real estate professionals from healthcare real estate firms, as well as executives from hospitals, health systems and physician practice groups, are eligible to enter the Healthcare Executive of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award categories.
