BEAUMONT, TX (March 1, 2017) – Medistar Corporation (“Medistar”) announced today the development of a new skilled nursing facility on a 5.48± acre site located at 3475 Fannin Street in Beaumont, Texas. Operated by OnPointe Health, the skilled nursing facility is being developed by Medistar with the support of community physician leaders Garrett Peel, M.D., CEO of Previty Clinic for Surgical Care, and Qaram Arfeen, M.D., CEO of Harbor Healthcare System. Now in design, the facility program includes 70 private beds of skilled nursing and 30 beds of memory care. “In every community we serve, OnPointe’s goal is simple: to provide the highest quality, best coordinated and most cost-effective post-acute care possible – for every patient, family and provider,” said Jerry Williamson, Founder and CEO of OnPointe Health. We fully support the vision of OnPointe, working with Dr. Peel, Dr. Arfeen and others to provide exceptional care across the post-acute continuum.” Medistar is simultaneously developing a skilled nursing facility for OnPointe Health in Webster, Texas, also in concert with local physicians. Both facilities are being designed by Pi Architects, with construction scheduled to start in 2017.
