Sector sources say that slightly higher capital costs will probably do little to cool the market
At the Federal Reserve’s Dec. 14 policy meeting, the central bank voted unanimously to increase the federal funds rate by 25 basis points, to 0.75 percent. With growing optimism about the U.S. economy, the Fed also signaled that three more quarter-point interest rate increases could be ahead in 2017.
