FORT WORTH and DALLAS, Texas, Sept. 21, 2016 – About a month after the grand opening of Heartis® Arlington, three months after opening its popular Heartis Eagle Mountain community and a year after the grand opening of Heartis Cleburne, Caddis™ is again setting a new standard for senior living in Dallas/Fort Worth. The Dallas-based national healthcare real estate firm has announced that it is developing Heartis MidCities – its fifth senior living community near the metroplex and its 12th in Texas.
The 178-unit, 178,530 square foot Heartis MidCities independent living, assisted living and memory care residence is being built on the northeast corner of Highway 121 and Bedford Road in Bedford, about 14 miles northeast of Fort Worth. The community, which will offer a host of first-class amenities, is expected to be completed in winter 2017.
In August, Caddis held a grand opening of the 89-bed, 67,000 square foot Heartis Arlington senior community, which features a bistro, Internet café, large fitness center and other amenities. In addition, in May, Caddis completed the development of a new Heartis senior residence in Eagle Mountain, a suburb on the north side of Fort Worth. That assisted living and memory care community is 61,125 square feet, offers 89 beds, and is close to Eagle Mountain Lake.
Also, in October 2015 Caddis opened the 89-bed, 61,125 square foot Heartis Cleburne, the company’s second high-end senior community under the Heartis brand name. Caddis’ first senior community was Orchard Park of Murphy located near Plano, Texas.

Heartis MidCities will offer a wide variety of amenities, including large, secured courtyards; outdoor walking paths; beautifully landscaped grounds; game and activity rooms; a beauty and barber shop; relaxing common areas; a large dining room offering delicious, chef-prepared meals; stimulating daily social and recreational activities; and luxurious finishes. Ongoing services include 24-hour emergency call system, housekeeping and laundry services and assistance with the activities of daily living.
The residence will be managed by Frontier Management, a senior living operations management company headquartered in Portland, Ore. The architect for the project is Austin, Texas-based Katus LLC and the general contractor is EBCO, which is headquartered in Cameron, Texas.
