REIT to pay $1.15 billion for 19 properties from Vintage Senior Living

In a $1.15 billion deal that’s expected to close in tranches starting in September, Welltower Inc. (NYSE: HCN) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a portfolio of 19 properties in Northern and Southern California from the current owner-operator, Newport Beach, Calif.-based Vintage Senior Living.
