CMS expects to withhold $528 million due to readmissions
As the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) was debated prior to its passage on March 23, 2010, one of the biggest concerns for many hospitals was a provision that came to be known as the Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program.
