DALLAS and AMARILLO, Texas, Jan. 13, 2016 – Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ magazine has named the Heartis-Amarillo Assisted Living & Memory Care Community a winner of the 2015 HREI Insights Awards™. Caddis, a national healthcare real estate firm headquartered in Dallas, developed and owns the 63,671 square foot senior living residence at 1601 Research St. in Amarillo.
The annual HREI Insights Awards recognize excellence in healthcare real estate development and executive leadership. Only seven development projects nationwide receive Insights awards each year. Heartis-Amarillo received top honors in the category “Best New Development, Post-Acute & Senior Living Facilities.”
Caddis executives say they are pleased that Heartis-Amarillo was recognized, and they conduct a great deal of research for each Heartis community they develop to determine which geographic markets have the greatest need.
“We used our own proprietary supply and demand program along with mapping software and found an excellent opportunity in Amarillo where the aging population was underserved,” Katie Csobaji, Senior Vice President, Senior Living, says.
“We then visited the market, met with local healthcare providers, performed comprehensive due diligence and confirmed our initial findings that there’s a strong need for an assisted living and memory care community like Heartis-Amarillo.”
