JOHNSON DEVELOPMENT CELEBRATES COMPLETION OF CLINIC FOR DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (October 13, 2015) – Johnson Development will join dignitaries and veterans from across North Alabama in a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new VA Huntsville Outpatient Clinic on October 14 at 10:00 AM.  The VA Huntsville Outpatient Clinic is located at 500 Markaview Road N.W. in Huntsville.

The 60,000 square-foot medical facility will provide internal medicine, diagnostics, mental health, women’s health, pharmacy, eye care and audiology services for veterans throughout the greater Huntsville area. Construction of the clinic began in the spring of 2014 and cost an estimated $22.5 million. Birmingham-based Johnson Development owns and manages the building and leases it to the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

Lead by Derek Weaver, Senior Vice President of Federal Property Development for Johnson Development, the Huntsville project is one of several recent VA lease award for Johnson in the past two years. “We are honored by the opportunity to develop the Huntsville clinic for our country’s most deserving men and women,” said Weaver.
