Transwestern-managed Building is Only Houston Asset Among 15 International Winners

(JULY 13, 2015 – HOUSTON) – Transwestern’s Houston headquarters today announces Memorial City Medical Plaza 4 of the Memorial Hermann Health System has been named “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) in the 2015 Medical Office Building category by Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International. To receive the international award, the sole Houston recipient among 15 winning properties in various categories had to first win both local and regional competitions.

“We’re extremely honored to share in this international award from BOMA with Memorial Hermann,” said Transwestern’s John Wheeler, senior vice president. “We continuously work to optimize the performance and energy efficiency at the Memorial Hermann Health System campus, and this recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

The annual TOBY awards recognize excellence in building management, operational efficiency, tenant retention, emergency planning and community impact. The TOBY awards give professionals the opportunity to benchmark operational excellence with their peers in the real estate industry.

Transwestern leases and manages Memorial City Medical Plaza 4, a 146,317-square-foot medical office building located at 925 Gessner Road. The property is part of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, a 1.3 million-square-foot medical campus located along the Interstate 10 West corridor.
