Transactions: Hammes acquires two MOBs in Kitsap County, Wash., for $33.7 million

KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. – Brookfield, Wis.-based The Hammes Co., a longtime HRE development firm that launched an equity investment fund to acquire medical facilities in 2014, recently purchased a two-MOB portfolio in Kitsap County, Wash.

Hammes paid $33.7 million for properties in the cities of Port Orchard and Silverdale, both of which are about 13 miles west of Seattle. The seller was Port Orchard-based Tim Ryan Properties LLC. Here’s a closer look at the facilities:

  • Salmon Medical Center, 2200 NW Myhre Road, Silverdale. The 59,220 square foot building is home to the Doctors Clinic, which is affiliated with Harrison Medical Center in Port Orchard. According to information from RCA, Hammes paid $20 million for the 6.4-acre. Tim Ryan Construction completed the facility in 2005.
  • South Kitsap Medical Center, 450 S. Kitsap Blvd., Port Orchard. Hammes paid $13.7 million for the 68,708 square foot, three-story facility that’s home to a 36,000 square foot urgent care center operated by Harrison Health Providers. Other spaces are occupied by the Doctors Clinic and Kitsap Children’s Clinic. The facility is on a 6-acre site.
