Inpatient Projects: More Inpatient Real Estate Project News

  • St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County, just west of Jacksonville, Fla., recently broke ground on a $33.1 million expansion project to double the size of its hospital. The project will add maternity and women’s services, 30 new inpatient beds, 13 treatment rooms in the emergency department and shell space for up to 30 new beds in the future. Jacksonville-based St. Vincent’s Healthcare, which has three hospitals in the area, is part of St. Louis-based Ascension Health. “We’re excited to be adding much-needed maternity services for women seeking care close to their homes,” said St. Vincent’s Clay County President Blain Claypool in a statement. “In addition to expanding care, we are creating opportunity in this great community by serving as an economic engine. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
