San Francisco, CA – We are pleased to announce that Jill Bergman, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, LEEDap, has joined HDR as a healthcare principal and vice president in the San Francisco office. In her new role, she will be working with the Northern California team on project leadership with business development responsibilities.

“The people, the dynamic energy and HDR’s resources as a global firm well-positioned in the healthcare industry are what drew me to the firm,” Jill says.

Jill is a leader in healthcare planning and design, with an added focus on facility information management. Her explorations in facility information will be included as an excerpt in Randy Deutsch’s forthcoming book, “Data Driven Design and Construction: Strategies for Capturing, Analyzing and Applying Building Data” (John Wiley and Sons, 2015).

Jill has provided consulting services in medical planning, facility planning operations and marketing and business development leadership. An ACHA-board certified healthcare architect, she has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare facilities programming, optimization, planning and design. She has worked with healthcare facilities and health systems covering a wide range of project typology, size and services provided.

With healthcare projects “swimming” in data, Jill says, she is always looking for better ways to harness project data by managing facility and space information to help clients drive decisions, make positive changes and affect outcomes. Jill’s collaboration and leadership skills, paired with her knowledge of all department areas of healthcare facilities, helps to provide optimum solutions and keen operational insights during all aspects of space planning and design.

Jill enjoys connecting with people, solving problems, working with dynamic teams, contributing to great spaces and continually learning.

“We are excited that Jill is joining us with a focus on growing our practice locally in the greater Bay area,” says Sandra Shield Tkacz, healthcare regional director, vice president.
