Outpatient Projects: Rendina readies for Texas project

Development firm will own 40,000 square foot, on-campus MOB in Paris, Texas

Most health systems send out requests for proposals (RFPs) for nearly each and every project they propose these days, even when they are happy with the work performed by a certain firm on a previous development. Even so, most development firms strive to complete projects on time and on budget in hopes of garnering an edge over competitors when or if the health system sends out more RFPs.

“Repeat business is our most important business,” says Richard Rendina, president and CEO of longtime healthcare development firm Rendina Healthcare Real Estate, which is based in Jupiter, Fla., and has regional offices nationwide.

Work is expected to start this summer on a project that represents, in a way, repeat business for Rendina, a firm started back in the early 1990s at a time when many developers relied on repeat business from a host of regular clients.
