■ Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., is moving forward on a $15 million upgrade to its maternity unit. The University of Vermont-affiliated hospital currently houses maternity patients in a space that is more than 70 years old. The construction is the first major project for Fletcher Allen’s Medical Center Campus in five years. The healthcare provider serves the greater area of Burlington, Vermont’s largest city. The new maternity unit, which will be situated two floors above the current facility, will add 3,000 square feet to the hospital. It will feature 28 patient beds in 25 rooms.
