Five medical office buildings on Florida Hospital campuses in Central Florida awarded a 360 designation for excellence in building management and operation
CENTRAL FLORIDA and INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 30, 2014 – In today’s increasingly competitive, highly demanding office and medical office building (MOB) markets, it’s difficult to make one building stand out – let alone five.
But Indianapolis-based commercial real estate owner and developer Duke Realty is doing just that. The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International recently designated five Duke Realty-owned and managed Florida MOBs as BOMA 360 Performance Buildings for the firm’s consistent application of best practices in building operations and management.
The five facilities, which are located on Florida Hospital campuses in central Florida, are: Celebration Medical Plaza, Kissimmee Medical Plaza and East Orlando Medical Surgical Plaza, all in the Orlando area; Sebring Medical Pavilion in Sebring; and the Wesley Chapel Wellness Center in Wesley Chapel.
“The BOMA 360 designation clearly demonstrates that our Florida medical office buildings meet or exceed the highest industry standards and that our clients can rely on our superior building management and best-in-class service,” says Mark Dukes, Duke Realty Vice President, Healthcare Asset Management, Southeast Region. “I congratulate our entire property management team for their dedication and hard work in achieving this milestone.”
“We are proud to designate five Duke Realty medical office buildings in central Florida as BOMA 360 Performance Buildings in recognition of the high standards the management team has achieved in every aspect of building operations and management,” said BOMA International Chair Joseph F. Markling, Managing Director, CBRE. “By receiving the BOMA 360 designation, the management of these healthcare facilities has demonstrated to their tenants, prospective tenants and the community that these properties are being managed to the highest standards of excellence.”
The BOMA 360 Performance Program is a groundbreaking building designation program that provides third-party verification of superior building operations, management and service delivery. The program evaluates properties in six major areas: building operations and management; life safety/security/risk management; training and education of building personnel; energy management; environmental/sustainability performance; and tenant relations and community involvement. The BOMA 360 Performance Program takes a holistic approach to evaluating a building’s operations and management and benchmarks a building’s performance against industry standards.
