ANNAPOLIS, Md. – New construction of assisted living facilities during Q2 grew at the fastest rate recorded since analysts started keeping track seven years ago. The inventory of assisted living facilities grew by 3.1 percent last quarter, according to a July 11 news release from the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC).
“The overall moderate rate of seniors housing construction was again sustained,” Chuck Harry, NIC’s managing director and director of research and analytics, said in a news release.
