Transactions: More HRE Transactions

MedSouth Healthcare Properties LLC and Sterling Fox Group LLC, both of Charlotte, N.C., recently made a JV acquisition of an MOB in the Medical Arts district of Greenville. The price was not disclosed for the 19,500 square foot, two-story facility across the street from Vidant Medical Center, the main acute care hospital for Greenville-based Vidant Health System, which serves 29 counties in what is known as the Eastern Carolina region. Included in the building is a three-bed surgery center. Bill Transou, principal and co-founder of MedSouth with Benjamin E. Bivens, noted in a statement: “The location of the property in front of the main entrance to the hospital, coupled with the strength of the surgical practice made this deal really stand out to us right from the start. The greatest satisfaction we had was the fact that we were successful in structuring a win-win, long-term sale leaseback which met the needs of both the buyer and the seller.” Stan Armstrong and Tommy Stoughton with Kittrell & Armstrong in Greenville represented the seller.
