Will we see more investment in U.S. acute care hospitals, as we have in Europe?
“We’ve been spending a lot of time with our CBRE counterparts in London, who have had a lot of success selling acute care facilities across Europe. While our team has found a great niche in the post-acute care sector in addition to the standard medical office space, I believe we’re going to see the sale of general acute care hospitals continue to grow as an investment sector in the United States. At the same time that a lot of the domestic healthcare REITs (real estate investment trusts) are going overseas to find these large acute care opportunities, I expect this sector to grow here at home as well.”
