Who: Representatives from medical mission organizations in the central Indiana region
Duke Realty, FAME Medical Missions and TriMedx Foundation announce the second annual Indianapolis Medical Mission Summit. The meeting of various front-line medical mission organizations with the singular mission of fostering broader collaborations by organizations in the central Indiana region is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Sep.12. This year’s event will focus on Haitian outreach and will include organizations that have worked in Haiti, including nutrition, water, education, orphanage, hospital and logistics programs, as well as support work within the United States, including medical surplus recovery, building materials, architectural, engineering and design services, volunteer efforts, and funding resources. The Indianapolis Medical Mission Summit format is structured to allow each attending organization the opportunity to share details about their individual project initiatives. The anticipated result of the summit will be a greater awareness and collaboration between Central Indiana organizations delivering medical relief efforts in Haiti and around the world. The summit is expected to attract representatives from nearly 40 central Indiana medical mission organizations, including:

The proposed agenda is as follows:
8:30 – 9 – Registration/check in
9 – 9:30 – Welcome and opening remarks
9:30 – 10 – First round of two-minute presentations
10 – 10:15 – Break
10:15 – 11:15 – Second round of two-minute presentations
11:15 – 11:30 – Wrap up
11:30 – noon – Networking/departure
As part of the summit, several mission-related exhibits will be featured, including personal mobility devices that enable individuals with disabilities to participate more easily in commerce, and a motorized utility vehicle that is used worldwide in mission settings for agricultural, ambulance and general transportation applications. The participants will also have the opportunity to taste nutritionally balanced food that is provided to mission recipients.
