SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. – Now that Sierra Vista Regional Health Center has joined Nashville, Tenn.-based RegionalCare Hospital Partners Inc., officials say planning has begun in earnest for a new 100-bed replacement hospital in this city of about 50,000 people in the far southeast corner of Arizona.
The Sierra Vista-based health center recently signed on to become the eighth hospital to join RegionalCare Hospital Partners, whose business model is to form partnerships with full-service community hospitals throughout the country.
Martin Rash, executive chairman of RegionalCare, said the goal now is to make the future medical center “a truly regional location for health.”
A groundbreaking is planned for October with construction scheduled to start in December. Nashville-based Gould-Turner Architects is designing the future hospital.
