We are pleased to announce that in recent months, NK has added several new staff members to our firm:
Robert Aitken joins our firm as Intern Architect. Rob is a recent graduate of the NJIT Masters of Architecture Program and has six years of professiona; experience. He served as Graduate Advisor to Alpha Phi Omega (National Community Service Fraternity) and Teacher Assistant for NJIT’s Model Shop.
Kathryn Hovis, Associate AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a Project Architect bringing over ten years of professional experience to our team. Kate’s project experience has focused on educational design and creating learning environments to support differential learning pedogogies.
Patrick Kavanaugh, EIT, has joined Structure Studio as a Structural Designer. Patrick, a current Master Degree student at Rutgers University, is presently acting as the graduate advisor to the Rutgers ASCE Chapter. As an undergraduate at the University of Delaware, he was the steel bridge competition captain for two years and president of their chapter during his senior year.
Mylene Paraiso joins us a Project Architect with over 20 years of experience, the last 12 of which have been dedicated to healthcare planning and design. Mylene’s healthcare expertise includes emergency departments, nursing homes, health clinics, medical offices, pediatric hospitals and cancer centers.
Calvin H. Rugg, III, RA, NCARB, LEED AP, joins NK as a Project Architect with 12 years of experience in the design and implementation of multiple building types with a concentration on the integration of sustainability. Calvin has completed projects for higher education, corporate clients and the federal government.
Nicole S. Walls has returned to NK Architects as the Marketing Manager. Nicole has 16 years of experience in the A/E/C industry and will managwe Nk’s marketing department, including all marketing collateral, marketing library and all requests for qualifications and proposals.
