News Release: Jeffrey Lovejoy Joins McCarthy Building Companies as Director of Business Development for Healthcare Projects

NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF., JUNE 19, 2013 – McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., one of California’s preeminent builders, announced that Jeffrey Lovejoy has joined the firm as director of business development, healthcare services.  Lovejoy replaces Scott Lawrence who has moved into the role of project director, commercial services for McCarthy. Based in the firm’s Newport Beach office, Lovejoy is responsible for client relations and generating new healthcare building opportunities in Southern California. 

Lovejoy comes to McCarthy with over 25 years of executive level experience and has held key positions with some of the nation’s leading contractors. Well versed in design and construction, he has a strong background in both business development and operations.

During Lovejoy’s construction industry career, he has held key positions with some of the nation’s premiere design-build contractors. His experience encompasses successfully starting up new operations in Colorado, Hawaii and Oregon.  Prior to joining McCarthy, Lovejoy was a director for Chevron Energy Solutions, where he was responsible for overseeing the development of performance contracting opportunities in Southern California and Hawaii.

A resident of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Lovejoy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
