Ah, the comfort of the status quo. For the people and companies involved in healthcare real estate, the next year or so is supposed to be, according to some high-level observers, a lot like 2012.
Demand for acquiring medical office buildings (MOBs) and other types of outpatient facilities is expected to remain strong. And, as hospitals and health systems continue to provide more and more services in outpatient settings while preparing for an onslaught of new patients under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), development should continue to pick up in the months and, perhaps, years to come.
