Plaza Companies Expands Presence in Tucson Marketplace

Plaza Companies, a leader in the senior living and medical office marketplace in Arizona, is expanding its presence in the Tucson area and opening a new Tucson office. 

Opening Tucson Office to Serve Local Medical Office Properties; Hires Experienced Leasing Director for Area Portfolio 

TUCSON, Arizona (December 6, 2010) —

The company has also hired an experienced Tucson leasing professional to reach out to the medical office community in the region and increase occupancy rates. 

Plaza has already made a significant impact in the senior living market in the area with its award-winning Splendido at Rancho Vistoso, now open for five years, and is working to expand its ongoing presence in medical office. 

Plaza Companies provides property management and leasing services to three significant medical office properties in the Tucson area. The properties, owned by Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. are Academy Medical, located at 310 North Wilmot, Desert Medical Center, located at 2001 West Orange Grove Road, and LaCholla Medical Center at 6261 North LaCholla. 

The new office location is LaCholla Medical Center, Suite 111.

And Plaza Companies has hired Lauri Abbinante, a Tucson resident who has worked in the Tucson brokerage community for more than nine years, as  Senior Portfolio Manager and Leasing Specialist. Abbinante will be handling all new leasing activity for the Tucson properties, and Megan Sherwood will continue to work with or existing tenants regarding lease extension and expansions.
