STIMULUS DOLLARS FUEL JV TO BUILD 500,000 S.F. HOSPITAL AT CAMP PENDLETON

A joint venture of Clark Construction and McCarthy Building Co. expects to finish the future hospital at Camp Pendleton, Calif., in 2014.

A joint venture of Clark Construction Group of Bethesda, Md., and McCarthy Building Co. of San Diego recently received a $394 million contract from the U.S. Navy for the construction of a 500,000 square foot, 67-bed hospital at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, which is located near Oceanside, Calif.

The hospital, which is scheduled for completion in 2014, would be a multi-level replacement facility for Camp Pendleton’s existing hospital at O’Neill Lake.
