Lillibridge starts on Baton Rouge MOB

PROJECT IS FIRM’S FIRST NEW DEVELOPMENT SINCE BEING ACQUIRED BY VENTAS

Lillibridge says it has been selected to serve as developer, architect, space planner and construction manager for a $40 million, 250,000 square foot MOB on the campus of Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, La.

Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR) and Chicago-based Lillibridge Healthcare Services Inc. made big news this summer.

When Chicago-based Ventas, one of the country’s largest healthcare real estate investment trusts (REITs), announced in June that it would acquire Lillibridge in a deal valued at about $381 million, the eyes of the business world fell upon the medical office building (MOB) sector for a few days.

Several months after the deal closed in July, Lillibridge is announcing its first MOB development as Ventas’s new wholly owned MOB subsidiary.
