COGDELL SPENCER INC. CEO SAYS REIT IS ON FIRM FOOTING FOR THE FUTURE

Ever since Frank C. Spencer joined what was then the Cogdell Group back in 1996, he has seen plenty of changes in the firm and the medical office building (MOB) industry – big, dramatic changes, on both fronts.
Not only has the Charlotte, N.C.-based company, which was once a small regional MOB developer, gone public and boomed over the last 15 years, but the medical office sector itself has grown tremendously as well.
Heck, when Mr. Spencer became a minority partner of company founder James W. Cogdell, a charismatic and energetic leader who started the firm in 1972, MOBs were not even on the radar screen of the capital markets.
