INPATIENT PROJECTS SEEM TO BE REBOUNDING

Earlier this month, while I was attending the InterFace Medical Office Conference in Houston, I had the opportunity to tour the mammoth Texas Medical Center (TMC). We plan to publish a Houston Market Focus in an upcoming edition, so we’ll save the details of what we found for that article.
But one general observation that struck me about the TMC was construction cranes – lots of them – actively building new inpatient facilities. It was a sight that would warm the cockles of any healthcare real estate professional’s heart, particularly after the construction bust of 2009 – and anecdotal evidence that perhaps healthcare real estate development is on the rebound.
