Now it’s up to the state of Massachusetts to determine whether Children’s Hospital Boston will be allowed to proceed with plans for an eight-story, $150 million medical and general office building in the Brookline Village area of Brookline, Mass., near Boston.

Children’s Brookline Place LLC, which is an affiliate of Children’s Hospital Boston, recently filed an environmental notification with the state’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs for its proposed 2 Brookline Place, just off Route 9, otherwise known as Washington Street.
