This has obviously been an incredible year,” Margaret I. Scott told the audience during one of the panel discussions at the recent National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC) conference in Chicago.

She was referring, of course, to the many crises that have rocked financial markets – from the meltdowns of investment banks including Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers to the bailouts of numerous other financial institutions.
