IT HAS OUTPERFORMED MOST REAL ESTATE SECTORS

Like the medical office market, the senior living sector has taken a hit during the past 12 to 18 months. But industry observers say it remains a better investment than most other segments of the commercial real estate market.
Senior living will also rebound faster from the recession than other sectors and will remain a promising long-term investment option, according to a panel of investment managers who commented during the recent National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC) conference in Chicago.
