LOVE HIM OR HATE HIM, TED K. WAS A KEY PLAYER

Dear Reader:

Whether you agreed with the political leanings of one of the country’s iconic political figures, Edward M. “Ted” Kennedy, or not, his recent passing could have an effect on our industry.

It will be interesting to see what happens without him as the debate over healthcare reform continues.

As almost everyone knows, Mr. Kennedy was considered by many to be the key person in keeping discussions concerning healthcare reform moving forward. Some politicians, even some on the Republican side, went so far as to say that Mr. Kennedy was likely going to be the key figure in eventually negotiating a plan that both Democrats and Republicans could agree on – at least agree on enough to get something passed.
