Staff Reports

Hammes Co. was recently hired by Elmhurst (Ill.) Memorial Healthcare (EMHC) as the project manager for the system’s future 259-bed, replacement acute care hospital building and two new medical office buildings (MOBs).

Hammes, which is based in the Milwaukee suburb of Brookfield, Wis., is overseeing the entire 50-acre project, including all of the strategic and master facility planning, site annexation assistance, operational planning, design, and construction oversight.

The overall project includes the building of the 866,000 square foot hospital, which is the centerpiece of a 50-acre integrated healthcare campus in Elmhurst, a western suburb of Chicago. All of the patient rooms will be private in the new hospital, which is scheduled for completion in fall 2011.
