When officials with Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network in eastern Pennsylvania considered locations for several new outpatient facilities, they’re instincts seemed perfectly natural: follow the new rooftops.
But then one of the system’s executives caught a presentation by Fort Worth, Texas-based Buxton HealthcareID, which focuses on pinpointing the exact location where medical facilities will draw the most — as well as the most-desired — patients.
