HREI™ BOARD DISCUSSES EMERGING INDUSTRY TRENDS

Competition continues to heat up from newcomers, the number of development RFPs (requests for proposals) seems to be declining slightly or holding steady, and the acquisition pipeline for medical office buildings (MOBs) should remain strong.

Those are a few the trends that emerged in 2007 and should continue into 2008, according to some of the healthcare real estate industry’s most experienced and respected individuals.

As has become a tradition at Healthcare Real Estate Insights™, members of our editorial advisory board gathered for an annual meeting in November. This time, the venue was the offices of Trammell Crow Co., in Dallas. Kevin O’Neil, president and senior managing director of Trammell Crow Healthcare Services (TCHS), is a member of the HREI™ board.
