Adventist Health

announces new

president and CEO

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Spring training baseball teams aren’t the only ones revamping their rosters down in Florida. Winter Park-based Adventist Health System has named Donald Jernigan as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO).

Mr. Jernigan was promoted from his position as executive vice president (EVP) and CEO of Adventist’s Florida Hospital, Orlando, and its Florida division. He replaces Thomas Werner, who announced in November that he planned to retire to spend more time with his family, although he plans to stay on in an advisory role through Jan. 1, 2007.

Mr. Houmann joined Adventist in 1993 and was previously executive vice president (EVP) and chief operating officer (COO) at the Orlando facility.
