NEW PROJECTS STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE FOLLOWING SLOWDOWN IN BEANTOWN

The “Curse of the Bambino” lasted nearly nine decades – starting back in the early part of the 20th century when Babe Ruth was sold to the New York Yankees by the Boston Red Sox. But when Boston’s beloved baseball team finally won the World Series in late 2004, the city could, finally, breathe a sigh of relief and rejoice.

The Red Sox’ run to the title included one of the most dramatic comebacks in baseball history – a 4-3 series victory over the arch-rival Yankees in the American League Championship Series after the Boston club had been down three games to none.
