SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Two Sacramento hospitals are encountering resistance to their plans for expansion projects. According to a recent report in the Sacramento Bee, a dozen Sacramento neighborhood organizations recently teamed up for a public forum to air concerns about the size and location of two expansion projects: a $456 million renovation project at the Sutter General Hospital by Sutter Health, and a renovation plan at Mercy General Hospital that includes a $90 million, five-story cardiac wing. The two providers did not announce any revisions in their plans following the forum.
